I'm Lucy Lowther, the founder of Howardian Helpers. I started my business over six years ago after having nearly lost my mum. This experience enabled me to understand the panic and fear families feel when they have a loved one who needs help and support. With busy lives, jobs, and children it's a relief to know that there is a trusted local service to help and support you and your family.
We are a vital and invaluable home help service specialising in early intervention prevention. We offer a wide range of services to support both the elderly and vulnerable in need. We enable our clients to foster, maintain and cherish their independence, empowering them in their day to day living both at home and beyond. We have helped numerous families throughout North Yorkshire and continue to do so

Our highly skilled team strongly value the relationships, trust and rapport we build with our clients. We all work and live in the community that we serve and have strong links with other vital community services such as GP services, District Nurses, Councils and Charities like NYCC, Dementia Forward and Living Well. We see Howardian Helpers as a critical resource to our local community and are passionate about making a difference to people’s lives. We are all enhanced DBS checked, have clean driving licenses, and can also provide references.
We have extensive understanding and experience in looking after clients with dementia and specialise in the specific help these clients require. We also have experience of many other ailments and conditions that growing older or being vulnerable brings.
